Cataracts
Cataracts are a leading cause of vision issues for people over 40 and are one of the main causes of blindness. A cataract is a clouding of the eye, specifically in the eye’s lens behind the pupil, caused by proteins clumping together. There are different kinds of cataracts, and they can have different causes. Aging or other medical conditions can contribute to the development of cataracts in your eyes.
Cataracts can start small and develop slowly. It may not even be noticeable at first, or you may notice a slight blur to your vision. You may only notice symptoms when looking at bright lights. Cataracts can continue to worsen, and you may only feel the effects once it is well developed.

Dry Eye Care
Ethos Medical Group is proud to offer dry eye treatment for our patients. Ocular Surface Disease, also known as dry eye, can occur from certain medications, naturally by aging, or as a symptom arising from systemic diseases such as Sjogren's syndrome, Rheumatoid arthritis, or Lupus. If you have a minor case of dry eye, you may be experiencing irritation, excessive tearing, fluctuating vision, and/or a burning sensation in your eyes. Excessive dry eyes, or dry eye symptoms that go untreated, have the potential to damage eye tissue, scar your corneas, and impair your vision.
Treatment options vary depending on the severity. While dry eyes cannot be cured, there are various ways to soften or lessen your symptoms. During your appointment, we will discuss the treatment options that best fit your needs.

OCuSOFT® Thermal 1-Touch™
Localized Heat Therapy
Patented OCuSOFT® Thermal 1-Touch™ applies heat and gentle pressure to the eyelids releasing lipids from the Meibomian glands. Unlike the traditional warm compress, OCuSOFT® Thermal 1-Touch™ Digi-Lens™ technology is designed with precision to provide instant targeted heat with a temperature that remains constant. OCuSOFT® Thermal 1-Touch™ is intended for localized heat in-office when the current medical community recommends the application of a warm compress to the eyelids. Such applications would include Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD), Dry Eye, Blepharitis, Stye, or Chalazia.

Comprehensive Ophthalmology
To ensure that you have healthy eyes, we perform thorough examinations. We also look at the inner eye to make sure your eyes are working the way they are supposed to. We then check your prescription to make sure you can see as well as possible.
We are also here whenever you have problems. If you are having vision problems, seeing spots, or dealing with anything else related to your vision, we will perform a thorough examination before running some tests to diagnose the problem. We will then talk you through treatment to get your vision where it needs to be.
